    Types of goal charts

    A goal sheet is a method of setting objectives one at a time in an orderly fashion. The key to the goal sheet is to put your goals in front of you, taking away the guesswork of whether or not you are doing what you set out to do. It helps to hold you accountable and streamline your goals to have the highest chance of achieving them.

    A goal sheet includes boxes for you to fill with essential goals to aim for and, below them, steps to help achieve each goal. This may include smaller lists of items that must be accomplished to attain each larger goal.

    There are generally five types of goal charts:

    Weight Loss

    If you’re trying to lose weight, then you must mentally keep track of your progress. While accountability is an important factor, it can become tedious when you have to whip out a spreadsheet. This simple chart can help keep track of weight loss and provide motivation.

    Sales

    You’re in the business of sales. You want your employees to be effective and efficient. This could be achieved through having a good sales chart. It’s good to take note of the progress your employees have accomplished in their job.

    This could be done through a sales chart that you can give to them so they will always be reminded of the goals that they should have if they want to achieve something going into the future.

    Personal Goals

    You probably have some goals set in your life, but they are super hard to reach. This can be a challenge, and I have a simple solution for you.     How to Set Personal Goals?

    Goal setting is a large part of goal planning, but it doesn’t end with the process of writing out your goals. Every goal you set also needs to be accompanied by a plan of attack and a deadline by which you intend to accomplish it. It’s challenging to create a plan of attack without first developing sub-goals for your overall main goal.

    After breaking down your main goal, you should have a couple of sub-goals in place. Each of these sub-goals is a milestone that you need to reach the ultimate goals. It would help if you were specific with each. You will also have to create deadlines and the steps you need to take to ensure you achieve each one.

    How do you create a goal tracker?

    Monitor Goals Periodically

    I must say that we are not done with setting the goal. The real work may begin after that. At certain times, we should monitor how the trend (trend) is related to the target and whether the determined actions are taken.

    Based on the monitoring results, some decisions may need to be made: If any deterioration or unexpected situation has an impact, are there any new action needs regarding these, or is everything OK?

    Although the frequency of monitoring will vary according to the target, it should be at the shortest possible intervals (even continuously, available on demand). If there is no system where the results can be seen instantly, it should be determined how often and by whom the data will be monitored and how often it will be reported.

    Divide Goals into Sub-Goals

    Goals are usually a combination of many sub-goals. The main goal can be achieved with the realization of sub-goals and sub-actions. It would be helpful to determine the roles of different units or different people in achieving the goal and their sharing of goals. (where applicable)

    Don’t Set Conflicting Goals

    The goals of different units or different individuals should not conflict with each other. It is expected that all goals will be determined harmoniously with a view from above. For example, if you want to increase foreign sales with a fixed production rate, a target such as increasing domestic sales will not make sense.

    The goal is an agreed-upon issue, not an imposed one. To achieve a goal, the goalkeeper and the management (or goal maker) must identify the needs and agree. Here, as we mentioned above, it is important to determine the actions appropriately.

    Make Results Visible and Share with Relevant

    Targets and monitoring results should be shared with relevant personnel who impact the target. Thus, it can be seen that the results of the work done are taken, or new actions can be applied together in case of deterioration.
